Need A Building Energy Survey?

Zener Engineering Services Ltd (ZES) organise and carry out all types of Energy Surveys throughout the country. We understand the importance of saving energy and how energy is used within buildings. This is established through a site survey of plant and equipment and analysing installed energy usage by establishing how the building is currently operated in relation to its design specification. We make recommendations of how to improve the energy performance of the building by:

• Reducing running costs
• Reducing carbon emissions
• Distinguishing between small and large capital outlay proposals

In addition we have certified C.I.B.S.E air-conditioning inspectors who carry out inspections to comply with The Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) more generally known as TM44. This directive requires the inspection of all air conditioning systems over 12 kW and the lodgement of the inspection reports.

Do You Need To Comply With TM44?

It is now a legal requirement for any building with over 12kW of total cooling to have a TM44 Inspection and for the report to be lodged with the government's Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificate Register (Landmark). Any building that does not comply by having a TM44 Certificate does not comply with current legislation. Trading Standards are tightening up on building owners that are non-compliant.
